The Indianapolis Colts might be compiling the NFL’s best young basketball team.

After choosing Malik Hooker, a high school basketball player who only played two seasons of prep football, in Round 1, Indy used the first of its three fourth-round picks on Southern California's Zach Banner, a 6-foot-9, 360-pound offensive lineman who doubled as a Trojans' basketball player.

Those two join a roster that already had two converted basketball players listed at tight end _ Eric Swoope and Mo Alie-Cox. Swoope is from the University of Miami and Alie-Cox played at VCU but neither ever made it onto the college football field. Indy could have had a staring five if offensive lineman Joe Reitz, a Western Michigan basketball player, hadn't retired earlier this season.
