Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins have won two consecutive games on Christmas Eve, which means he has worn his now-famous festive, green suit two years in a row.
Cousins threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns as the Redskins beat the Denver Broncos and their top-ranked defense 27-11 on Sunday. He and Washington beat the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field last year, so maybe it's a tradition.
"If we win on Christmas Eve, it certainly will be," Cousins said. "There aren't many occasions you can where this for. I assume after a win at a press conference, this is about one of the few places this works."
Cousins said his wife, Julie, found the Shinesty suit and packed it for him. But there was a contingency on wearing it.
"There was no way I wearing this if we lost," Cousins said. "But we got a win just like last year, so I'd love to wear it, and then it'll go back in the closet for 364 days. That's the plan."
Cousins also owns a suit adorned with Redskins logos but said he hasn't "found the right setting to pull that one out yet." Perhaps if Washington signs him to a long-term contract, it'll happen at that news conference.
