Falcons star receiver Julio Jones was among several NFL players in New Orleans on Christmas Eve who wore holiday greetings on their feet during pre-game warm-ups.
NFL players periodically wear themed cleats, particularly to raise public awareness about issues of concern or charitable endeavors they support.
Also getting into the act was Saints defensive end George Johnson. His cleats portrayed the Grinch, Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer and candy canes.
Saints DE George Johnson also had some pretty spectacular Christmas-themed pregame cleats, designed by Tampa artist Jason Hulfish. The other side has Santa and Christmas lights. pic.twitter.com/0AG7a7F3YE

At kickoff, of course, the holiday cheer subsided on the field. The Falcons and Saints rivalry is a heated one, and this game carried playoff implications.
