Throughout the week leading up to Sunday's regular season finale, the Seattle Seahawks vowed they wouldn't be distracted by what is going on three time zones away in Atlanta.

To help make sure the distractions were lessened, the Seahawks did not show the score of the Atlanta-Carolina game inside the stadium. The out-of-town scoreboard was notably missing any mention of the Falcons and Panthers as it cycled through what was happening elsewhere around the league.

Announcers on the FOX television broadcast noted Seattle's front office decided not to show the scores for fear of it becoming a distraction. But players were sure they would get word of what was happening.

"Somehow it is going to get to us," Seattle LB K.J. Wright said during the week. THe word will spread. It's going to spread around. That's just natural."
