Add Josh McCown to the Cleveland Browns' lengthy _ and ever-growing _ list of starting quarterbacks.
McCown is making his debut Sunday for a franchise that has seen its share of signal callers in recent years. The 36-year-old veteran is the Browns' 23rd quarterback to start a game for the Browns since 1999. Even McCown's younger brother Luke is on the list; he started four games for Cleveland in 2004.

These are far from the days of Bernie Kosar, who was a fixture at the position from 1985-93 _ and the one Browns quarterback whose jersey fans are still proud to wear.

Josh McCown is also the 13th to start a Week 1 game since '99, and the third in as many years.
For those keeping score, here are the other 22 quarterbacks to start for the Browns over the last 16 years:
Brian Hoyer, Johnny Manziel, Connor Shaw, Jason Campbell, Brandon Weeden, Thad Lewis, Colt McCoy, Seneca Wallace, Jake Delhomme, Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson, Ken Dorsey, Bruce Gradkowski, Charlie Frye, Trent Dilfer, Jeff Garcia, Kelly Holcomb, Luke McCown, Doug Pederson, Spergon Wynn, Ty Detmer and Tim Couch.
The Jets know the feeling when it comes to being in a quarterback quandary. After Geno Smith's jaw was broken when he was slugged by then-teammate Ikemefuna Enemkpali on Aug. 11, Ryan Fitzpatrick moved into the starting role for the Jets.
Fitzpatrick, making his Jets debut, is the 28th quarterback to start for New York since Joe Namath's final game for the franchise in 1976.
Here are the other 27: Smith, Michael Vick, Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy, Kellen Clemens, Brett Favre, Chad Pennington, Brooks Bollinger, Vinny Testaverde, Quincy Carter, Ray Lucas, Rick Mirer, Glenn Foley, Neil O'Donnell, Frank Reich, Boomer Esiason, Bubby Brister, Jack Trudeau, Browning Nagle, Ken O'Brien, Tony Eason, Pat Ryan, Kyle Mackey, David Norrie, Richard Todd, Matt Robinson, Marty Domres.
