Johnny Manziel signs with CFL in path back to football

HAMILTON, Ontario (AP) — Johnny Football is huddling up again for a long-awaited comeback — in Canada.

Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel signed a two-year contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League on Saturday, looking to salvage his football career after a turbulent and unsuccessful stay with the Cleveland Browns.

"I don't want to wait around anymore," Manziel said during a news conference at Tim Hortons Field, where he will play his home games this season.

Tony Romo shoots 82, finishes last in PGA Tour debut

PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic (AP) — Tony Romo figured his weakness would be exposed in his PGA Tour debut. They were — and then some.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback finished last Friday in the 132-man field in the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship, bogeying the first six holes in a 10-under 82.

"I kind of have an idea of where I really need to put my time in as far as to get better and scoring," Romo said. "I'm hitting the ball fine, you just have to score."
