Colts cornerback Vontae Davis delivered a stylish message to his teammates Saturday.

After going 8-8 each of the last two seasons, it’s time for Indianapolis to slingshot its way back to the playoffs.

“It’s blue _ Colts’ blue,” Davis said after riding to camp in a three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot. “It’s a new year and everybody’s excited.”

Especially Davis, who hammed it up as he heads into the final year of his contract.

When the 29-year-old pulled off his motorcycle helmet, he spread his arms, posed for photos and smiled.

The image of Davis arriving at training camp, the first ever held at Indy’s team complex, rekindled memories of grand entrances from seasons past.

Reggie Wayne showed up in a cement truck, a military convoy and an IndyCar.

Edgerrin James made the 75-mile ride from Indianapolis to Terre Haute, Indiana, in a taxi and a bus.

Now Davis has joined the club.

“He didn’t know,” Davis said when asked about Wayne’s reaction. “He’s going to smile.”
