EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants filled a hole in their roster by elevating first-year lineman Selvish Capers from the practice squad.

The Giants, who had a bye last week, had placed rookie defensive tackle Markus Kuhn on injured reserve during the week off. He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament against the Bengals on Nov. 11.

Capers has spent most of the past two seasons on the Giants' practice squad.

Rookie offensive lineman Stephen Goodin, who was in training camp with New York, was signed to the practice squad Wednesday.
