INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The owners of the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers are donating $20,000 to the Red Cross to help victims of a massive blast that devastated a city neighborhood over the weekend.

Colts owner Jim Irsay and Pacers owner Herb Simon said Monday they were donating the money because of their love for the community. The two also encouraged fans to make donations to the Red Cross.

Two people were killed and dozens displaced following an explosion and fire Saturday night on the south side of Indianapolis. More than 80 homes were damaged, including about 30 that remained uninhabitable Monday.
