One of Matthew Stafford's presnap calls at the line of scrimmage Monday night was a shout-out to Dodgers star Clayton Kershaw.
Stafford and Kershaw went to high school together in Texas. In Detroit's 24-10 win over the New York Giants on Monday, the ESPN broadcast showed Stafford yelling "Kershaw" _ which was apparently code for something before the snap.

Coach Jim Caldwell was coy Tuesday about what the word "Kershaw" was supposed to signal, and he said the calls aren't part of any conscious attempt to entertain TV viewers.
"It's what our guys can remember and what we can focus in on that's catchy," he said. "So, that's really it."
